NCSR "DEMOKRITOS"​

The National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” is one of the largest interdisciplinary research centers of Greece, running impactful research and innovation projects, funded by the EU, Private Corporations and the State of Greece. Demokritos shows remarkable research achievements in the fields of AI, Advanced Materials and Devices, Energy and especially hydrogen-based technologies for the Green Transformation, the Environment and Climate Change, Telecommunications beyond 5G, Autonomous Manufacturing and very recently Quantum Computing. Basic and applied research programs are equally supported in fields spanning from Particle Physics, to Life Sciences, to Nuclear Technology. As a Greek public research institution, Demokritos is pioneer in technology transfer, industrial fellowship programs and deep-tech entrepreneurial support including dual-use technologies. The Centre actively participates in the open universal dialogue on the ethics of today’s disruptive technologies.
