National Sun Yat-sen University

Established in 1980, National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) in Kaohsiung plays a pivotal role in balancing educational resources between northern and southern Taiwan. Named after Dr. Sun Yat-sen, founder of the Republic of China, the university observes his birthday, November 12th, as its anniversary. Over the years, NSYSU evolved into a top-tier institution encompassing liberal arts, science, engineering, management, marine sciences, and social sciences. New additions in 2022 include the College of Medicine, the School of Banking and Finance, and the College of Semiconductor and Advanced Technology Research.
