Landsbankinn is a leading Icelandic financial institution. Landsbankinn offers a full range of financial services and is the market leader in the Icelandic financial service sector with the largest branch network. Landsbankinn was established on 9 October 2008 but the history of its predecessor runs back to 1886. The banks'​ shareholders are the Icelandic State Financial Investments, which manages the 81.3% holding of the National Treasury, and Landskil ehf., which manages an 18.7% holding on behalf of Landsbanki Íslands hf.
