Lakeshore Legal Aid

Lakeshore Legal Aid (LLA) is a not-for-profit law firm providing a range of free civil legal services to low-income people, seniors, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout southeast Michigan. To speak with an attorney, please call the toll-free Counsel & Advocacy Law Line (CALL) at (888) 783-8190. Attorneys perform intake to confirm eligibility of client and then provide advice and brief legal services. Most individuals receiving public assistance qualify for services. Cases requiring litigation are referred to a specific Lakeshore office to determine availability of resources for further services. CALL is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m and Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lakeshore is funded by: Legal Services Corporation; Michigan State Bar Foundation; United Way of Southeastern Michigan; Oakland County Bar Foundation; ; Area Agency on Aging 1-B, Region 7 Area Agency on Aging; Valley Area Agency on Aging; St. Clair County Millage; Office of Violence Against Women.
