International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC)

The International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC) is an Abu Dhabi government organisation dedicated to securing a sustainable future for the Houbara bustard; an emblematic yet vulnerable species in Arab culture. Established in Abu Dhabi in 2006, the Fund manages a network of dedicated breeding centres and operations across the Houbara’s migratory range: the National Avian Research Centre (NARC) in Sweihan, Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Khalifa Houbara Breeding Centre at Seih Al Salem in Abu Dhabi (SKHBC-AD); Emirates Centre for Wildlife Propagation (ECWP) in Missour, Morocco, and the Sheikh Khalifa Houbara Breeding Centre in Kazakhstan (SKHBC-Kz). As the global leader in species conservation we strive to foster greater international collaboration and have agreements with more than 22 countries along the Asian Houbara migratory route. Our breeding and release programme is complemented by work in the fields of education, ecological research and sustainable community development. The result is a holistic pre-emptive species conservation programme. الوصف: يعد الصندوق الدولي للحفاظ على الحبارى إحدى المؤسسات التابعة لحكومة أبوظبي، ويتولى العمل على ضمان استدامة مستقبل طيور الحبارى المعرضة للخطر والتي تُمثل إحدى الرموز الأصيلة للثقافة العربية. ويتولى الصندوق، الذي تأسس في عام 2006، إدارة شبكة من مراكز وعمليات إكثار وإطلاق الحبارى في مُختلف الدول التي يغطيها نطاق الانتشار ، مثل المركز الوطني لبحوث الطيور في سويحان، ومركز الشيخ خليفة لإكثار الحبارى في سيح السلم بأبوظبي، ومركز الإمارات لتنمية الحياة الفطرية في ميسور بالمغرب، ومركز الشيخ خليفة لإكثار الحبارى في كازاخستان. ومن موقعنا كجهة رائدة في مجال الحفاظ على الأنواع، نسعى إلى تعزيز جهود التعاون الدولي وتربطنا اتفاقيات تعاون مع أكثر من 22 دولة على امتداد نطاق انتشار طيور الحبارى. ويُستكمل برنامج الإكثار والإطلاق الخاص بنا من خلال عدد من الأنشطة في مجالات التعليم والأبحاث البيئية والتنمية المجتمعية المستدامة، والتي أثمرت في نهاية المطاف عن برنامجنا الاستباقي الشامل في مجال الحفاظ على الأنواع
