Independent Schools Queensland

Independent Schools Queensland is the peak body representing Queensland's independent schooling sector. Our 230+ member schools are a vital part of the state's education system. Together, these schools educate about 145,000 students, or 16.5% of Queensland's school enrolments. Independent Schools Queensland represents the interests of its member schools, fostering choice in education and protecting the autonomy of independent schools. It provides services and support which promotes, strengthens and improves independent schooling. Our Mission: Promote, support and develop independent schooling in Queensland.
