HVA FOODS PLC (HELADIV)

One of Sri Lanka’s fastest growing exports companies and ranking among the largest tea exporters HVA Foods Pvt. Ltd. was established in 1996 as a BOI approved company. Prior to that the company began business in 1990 as HVA Lanka Exports Pvt. Ltd. as an affiliate of HVA International a Dutch based agricultural development company that had a global presence. In 1993 the Company came under the ownership of a completely Sri Lankan board of directors. Since its inception, HVA Foods Limited has won six Gold Awards as the Exporter of the Year in both traditional and non-traditional exports from Sri Lanka. Identifying the need to create a tea brand with the uniqueness of its origins, HVA Foods Limited created its own brand in 1996. “HELADIV” is derived from the word “Heladiva” which symbolizes a home grown product range and a name that could easily be identified with Ceylon tea. The Company has registered the brand in 40 countries around the world and has also been the pioneers in developing Ready-To-Drink iced tea in the Sri Lankan market.
