University of Auckland Formula SAE Team (FSAE47)

The University of Auckland Formula SAE Team, commonly known as FSAE47, is New Zealand’s oldest and most successful Formula Student team. Our student members design and manufacture high performance open-wheel EV racing cars. We compete annually in the FSAE-Australasia competition, and have also competed in the Formula Student Germany competition. Driven for practical experience in engineering and business concepts in a motorsport context, our team combines classroom knowledge with passion for motorsports and design brilliance. The accomplishments of the team’s alumni attest to the worth of the project, with many finding careers in Formula 1, IndyCar, the America's Cup, Rocket Lab, and many more.
