Foundation for Recovery

The Foundation for Recovery serves as Nevada’s statewide recovery community organization (RCO); the largest peer-run nonprofit advocating for and supporting people and families impacted by addiction and overdose in Nevada. We were founded in the early 2000s by a dedicated group of people and family members in recovery who saw an urgent need to address critical gaps in support and empower a constituency of people recovering from addiction to advocate for change by putting a face and voice on this movement. Our Founders envisioned a place where people in new and long-term recovery could congregate, find unwavering allyship in each other, and access a loving community focused on helping individuals sustain recovery beyond treatment and incarceration. Over the past two decades, we’ve been driven by this vision and the belief that every individual has the ability and the right to recover from the traumas of addiction.
