Equator Aircraft AS was created to construct and sell a modern amphibian that will create a paradigm change in light aviation. By using the modern methods of production, combined with super light and strong materials, and a design that focuses on the user, EQP2 will take market share’s in established markets and open up new markets with aircraft that are easier to use, are cheaper to operate and maintain, more accessible and has a higher value for families, flying clubs and organizations worldwide. Equator P2 Excursion - "Electric Hybrid Amphibian"​ (EQP2) - is an amphibian that will operate within the new lightweight aircraft classes in the U.S. and Europe. overall weight classes in the categories 1000, 700 and 450kg. (European development is under way). EQP2 is an amphibian, in other words, it could be used on land with undercarriage, in water on a boat hull, and of course very effectively in the air.
