Environmental Management Centre (EMC) was established in 1996. Our consulting services are strategic, knowledge driven and supported through research and training. In all consulting assignments we harmonize economic, environmental and social considerations into the business logic, development plans and policy frameworks. Under the leadership of Dr.Prasad Modak, we have conceived, developed and executed a number of national, regional and international assignments that have set several "firsts"​. Many of these have stimulated action leading to policy reforms, sustainable investments and led to long term capacity building. Our mission is Practicing Sustainability to the Advantage of All. Mainstreaming sustainability is an advantage and not just an expression of ethos. The "advantage factor"​ is not limited to environmental or social dimensions but also entails gains in economic terms. Sustainability leads to savings and improved brand value. EMC believes that these advantages do not remain the purview of a select few but are in fact available and should be so, to ‘all’ those concerned and involved.
