The Egyptian Salts & Minerals Co. An Egyptian joint stock company, established according to the Law No. 43/1974 and its amendment through the Law No. 230/1989 of “The Arab and Foreign Investment and Free Zones”. Company Objectives : The extraction of salts from Lake Qarun as follows: Anhydrous sodium sulphate (Na2SO4), with a production capacity of 120 000 T/Y. Sodium Chloride (NaCl) with a production capacity of 150 000 T/Y. Magnesium Sulphate ( Mg2SO4.7H2O) with a production capacity of 27 000 T/Y. Company Capital : The Company’s issued capital is 82350000 million Egyptian pounds (2010) divided into 82350000 shares, one hundred Egyptian pounds each. Shareholders and Their Equity : The shareholders of the company are some Egyptian Banks, Public Sector Companies and the Fayoum Governorate .
