Crosby Securities Limited together with Crosby Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited, collectively referred to as Crosby Group, provide financial services ranging from institutional sales, research, corporate access, principal investments, financial products, corporate finance and asset management. Crosby Securities Limited is a registered licensed corporation by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission to carry out regulated activities, including Type 1 (dealing in securities), Type 4 (advising on securities), Type 6 (advising on corporate finance), and Type 9 (asset management). The Crosby franchise, founded in the 1984, engaged in the business of stock brokerage and investment banking in Asia. Crosby was among the first international investment banks to open in China, Thailand and Malaysia, and among the first foreign underwriters of B-shares in the China’s onshore capital markets. The original stock broking activities of Crosby were sold to Societe Generale Bank in 1996, and the remaining investment banking and asset management was re-launched in 2002 and has grown significantly in size and number of personnel in the last decade. Today the Crosby team is made up of highly experienced professionals in the global financial industry who have served in all major bulge-bracket firms, with a deep understanding of the global capital markets as well as local knowledge and access. On August 20, 2015, Quali-Smart Holdings Limited (“Quali-Smart”, 1348.HK) announced the acquisition of Crosby Securities Limited and Crosby Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited to build the Crosby Group into an independent institutional & corporate based integrated securities services platform in the market.
