Craigdon Mountain Sports is a family run business based in Aberdeenshire. Local couple Margaret and Arthur Lee opened our first shop on Inverurie’s High Street in 1984. Quickly building up a reputation for providing the best in goods and service, the company went from strength to strength and was soon the place to get geared up for adventure in the North-East of Scotland. Whilst still trading from this very store, Craigdon gradually outgrew the premises on High Street and so another, much bigger store was opened in Aberdeen in 1997. Before long, the success of the two shops was putting a strain on the rented warehousing, so a new office and warehouse complex was purpose built in Inverurie. With yet more stores added over the years – Perth in 2004 and Inverness in 2005, the company continues to grow. This, coupled with our dedicated internet sales department set us firmly as Scotland’s premier independent outdoor retailer. To this day Craigdon is still locally owned and operated, with the next generation of the Lee family continuing the company’s passion for top quality outdoor clothing and equipment, and the very best in customer service.
