Champaign Urbana Mass Transit District

We are the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD), your local public transit provider. We proudly serve the community with bus service to more than 2000 stops on 25 fixed-routes as well as on-demand van service across Champaign, Urbana & Savoy. Our fleet offers residents mobility options that include buses, rides for seniors, ADA Paratransit, SafeRides home on Campus at night, and resources to encourage walkability, biking, and safety. With a staff numbering nearly 350, a growing fleet of hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell electric buses, and thousands of community partnerships, MTD is an engine of continual improvement for employees, environmental initiatives, and within the Champaign-Urbana & Campus communities.
