Cacao Atlanta Chocolate Company was founded in 2004 and specializes in the production and sale of exquisite single-origin chocolate and confections.The company—and its chocolate bars and truffles—are unique in several ways. In the increasingly crowded “artisan chocolate” market, Cacao Atlanta founder Kristen Hard personally scours the tropical regions where the world’s finest cacao beans grow. She aligns with cacao farmers who also believe that chocolate starts with an extraordinary raw product cultivated with care. Cacao Atlanta uses its pure, small-batch, made-from-scratch chocolate in every one of its handmade bars, truffles, and other confections—a rarity in the industry. Hard draws on her Southern heritage as well as her world travels for pairing spices, fruits, and liqueurs that complement the extraordinary chocolates. Cacao Atlanta also partners with scientists, local growers, and likeminded chocolatiers nationally and internationally to advance excellence in the chocolate field.
